Ministries at FBC
All humans experience feelings along the same continuum. Feelings of mad, bad, sad, glad and fear
are common for all humans. To help us all process those feelings we have these ministries:
Support groups
We offer several groups to support you.
Valley Counseling Service uses FBC Warm Springs office space to see clients. Terry Bounds is
available in Warm Springs two days a week. You may call the church office to contact Terry. Terry is a
licensed professional counselor with a lot of practical experience. He has worked at West Central
Georgia regional hospital and at the Bradley Center before joining Valley counseling. His partner Will
Cole is also available.
The Pastor and Deacons are always available to offer a listening ear, counsel and prayer
are common for all humans. To help us all process those feelings we have these ministries:

- Al anon meet on Mondays at 8:00 P.M.
- A Grief Group meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:00 P.M. Grief comes in many
forms from many sources. If you are working through a loss [a death, a job loss, a relational loss
or another loss] you might benefit from attending.
- An Alzheimer Support Group meets the second Sunday of each month at 2:00 P.M.

others. The Dorcas ministry serves people with needs.
People are seen weekly who are referred by the Department
of Family and Children’s services, pastors and other
agencies.

Pastoral Care
Our church partnered with the Manchester Park and Recreation Department to form the first Soccer league in Meriwether county. Every July through September 200 or more children participate in the soccer ministry. We also have a church softball team that plays in the Manchester Park and Recreation department. The team composed of adults and teens over 15 years of age play in the church league enjoyed the exercise and fellowship. Volleyball is another sport we enjoy. Our youth play in a church volleyball league. Usually we have a middle and high school teams. The adults also field a team. |
